Annual 5th Grade Dance

It’s that time of the year again! The Perkins annual 5th grade dance is fast approaching (only two days away, to be exact) and the hallways have been buzzing with excitement since Monday. “I just want it to be Friday already,” exclaims Darrell Holliday as he finishes up his lunch. “The dance is going to be awesome, I can’t wait!” However, there is still work to be done in these next couple days. Tabitha Keith, member of the 5th grade dance committee, has been coming in after school with the rest of the committee members help to create decorations and plan various activities that will be going on during the dance. “We still have work to do, but I think we will make the dance be great for everyone.”

The committee is confident that the dance will be a success. According to Anna Bright, who was all smiles when asked about Friday night, there will be “nothing but fun and dancing.” She also jokingly stated that the dance committee might have to be the first ones to start dancing to ease the anxiety of the other students, but hopes that is not the case. The dance will be this Friday, February 7 from 3:30-5:30 in the Perkins gym, and the theme is “The 70s.” However, there will also be other festivities in the library, music room, and cafeteria as well. We hope to see you there!
