Junior Duck Stamp Competition

This year marked the 21st year of the Junior Duck Stamp Competition. According to the Fish and Wildlife Service, “the Junior Duck Stamp is a pictorial stamp produced by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to recognize the conservation efforts of young people and support environmental and conservation education programs in the United States.” Students around the country submit designs for the stamp, and top prize gets their stamp produced.

We had three of our talented Penguins earn a prize in this year’s competition. Camille Page earned an honorable mention, and Nolberto Rodriguez-Rocha and Jaxson Holec earned ribbons from the state of Iowa. These talented individuals created stamps that were chosen among thousands of Iowan submissions from students in every grade. We are very proud of these students, but not surprised that we had some winners. As always Perkins Penguins proved to go above and beyond the competition, taking home not one, not two, but three prizes this year! Congratulations to all students that participated.
