Congratulations 5th Grade Students

What a positive inspiration of poetry Perkins students shared with their audience yesterday. Students like Charlie, Chloe, Ava, Reggie, Kellen, Helen, Olivia and Luke had such deep feeling and emotions that came out in their written word in the form of poetry. Reggie had an entire page he wanted to share. He wants to share it with the class but we didn’t have time.

The fifth grade teachers hit many Standards with their planned workshop, More importantly, they hit more than that…Mrs. Birchmier said, “Your students were passionate about writing and reading and thinking deeply. I saw respectful listening in their partner monitoring when working together. They are growing in their thinking and maturity.
