Congratulations Students, Staff and Parents!!!!

One year ago, the Perkins community made a commitment to improve the instructional day by minimizing interruptions, monitoring bell times, and improving transition times. Perkins set a goal last year to improve reading and math proficiency by 5% for all students.

The results are electrifying. Based on the Iowa Assessment results, Perkins students increased reading proficiency by 6.7%. Students also improved in math and science. Additionally, our English Language Learners had a record breaking gain of 17.2% increase in reading. Based on the Iowa Assessments, our ELL students showed a 7.5% growth in math proficiency from a year ago.

Perkins exemplifies a community of parents and educators who have dedicated resources and themselves to certify  that, each and everyday, we are providing the best education for all students. It is said, that Perkins Academy has the smartest kids, the best teachers, and the greatest parents in the world. It must be true!!
