And Then There Were Two

The Perkins Battle of the Books team took on the rest of the Des Moines Public Schools to strut their stuff and outwit the other teams. It was a tough battle with eight different teams competing for the same prize. The first round was a written test, which each team completed on their own between themselves. After those were turned in, the judges had to pick two finalists to compete in the oral round. Perkins and Greenwood were those two teams. After the first set of questions, it was a tie between the two schools, so a round of tougher questions was necessary.  It was an extremely hard second round, with both teams having to use almost all of their allotted 30 second time slots to answer each question. However, Greenwood ended up finishing in first place, but only just. The PTA, and the rest of the students and staff at Perkins would like to thank all of the participants in B.O.B this year!
