Iowa Junior Duck Stamp Contest

Perkins’ very own, Camille Page, submitted an entry to the 2014 Iowa Junior Duck Stamp Contest and placed in the competition! The 2014 Iowa Best of Show winner depicted a King Eider done with pastels. It has been sent to Washington, D.C. where it will join the other best of show winners in the national contest. After the judging, her entry, along with the other state best of show winners, will tour the country until March 2015.

Another part of the Junior Duck Stamp Contest is the Conservation Message. Students are asked, but not required, to submit a short message with their entry form about wetland conservation. In order to honor and congratulate our winners, the award ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 27, at 2:00 pm in the multi-purpose room at the Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge-Prairie Learning Center. Camille’s entry will be on display, along with the other winning entries. Congratulations, Camille!!
