1st Annual Perkins Culture Fair

Perkins Academy’s First Annual Culture Fair was an adventure second to none! Students and their families travelled to five different countries on a two-hour flight piloted by our very own Mr. Koss. They stopped at Burma, Southern Sudan, Africa, and Mexico. They learned about foods, music, dance and more, specific to these cultures. Ambassadors from each country shared their experiences and hobbies with our passengers.

We had a full plane packed with over 130 passengers! Each student got a passport to allow them into these countries, and a personal itinerary guiding them on their trip. It has been said, “the world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.” If this is true, it is safe to say that our Penguins are a few chapters in after this year’s fair. We look forward to next year’s adventure!
