Student Academic Awards

The principal announces everyday that Perkins is “The home of the smartest kids, the best teachers, and the greatest parents in the world.” Perkins students are now taking their mid-year assessments. From kindergarten to fifth grade students are plowing through these tests. One Perkins Star after another come to my desk. Students are getting 100 percent on their math tests. Other students are gaining as much as 300 points on their SRI tests. One teacher said, “You got enough of those medals to give to students, because we’re just getting started!” I am so proud of our students and teachers. Students wore their medals around their necks all day glowing with pride. That’s what we are all about at Perkins. We’re not just any school. We are the best school in the world!
