Perkins Receives Garden Grant

Garden club will begin on Thursday April 9 after school, and will run 3:45-4:45 every Thursday until May 21 or May 28. The list of everyone who is in Garden Club and who is on the waiting list will be posted on Tuesday April 7.  April 9 we will begin in the Art room, likely starting seeds and doing an art project, unless the forecasted rain allows us to be outside. Perkins was the recipient of the Whole Kids Foundation Garden Grant of $2000.00. This grant will allow us to amend the soil in the large garden (using approximately 50% of the funds over the next year), add compost to the two original beds, replace some of the original tools that are falling apart and purchase additional hose, potting materials, seeds, vegetables for tasting during Garden club and Garden events etc. The grant also includes funds for:
