Map Instruction For First Graders?

Drake University student and Junior Achievement leader Lindsey Pallas taught students in Mrs. Bentzinger’s class about places in their communities that help them.  Students designed their own community maps using blank maps and stickers.  Students got to decide where they would put houses, the grocery store, the library, the fire station, a school, and other places that are part of a community.
