Perkins One and Only Holiday Store

Santa’s elves, Perkins PTA, transformed our school library into a holiday store the days before winter break. Perkins students were then given the opportunity to purchase gifts for family members. If students forgot or were unable to bring money to purchase gifts, the PTA provided money for them.  The students come to the store excited and full of merriment as they shop for family members. As the students shop they learn the importance of planning ahead (who are they shopping for?), budgeting ($10 and 8 people to shop for?!), and most importantly, the students learn it is better to give than receive.
