Perkins Honor Choir
The Perkins honor choir, Perkins Singers, performed the National Anthem at a packed Drake basketball game at the Knapp Center. Perkins Singers, made up of almost sixty 4th and 5th graders, were led onto center court to sing the Star-Spangled Banner in front of over 4,700 fans. The game helped raise awareness for Character Counts, which teaches kids about trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. After they sang, the honor choir stayed for the game to cheer on the Drake Bulldogs team to a huge victory.
